The Chat Show Style Meet Up For Mums

Mother Tongue brings mums together to talk about life as mums  Held several  times a year, we bring some expert panellists along to discuss the issues that matter and affect our lives as mums.

Previous chats have included  • Does the work/life balance actually exist and how can we get one? • Working Mums – why do we feel like we are failing? • Mum Guilt  • Being Shamed For Breast Feeding  • Silencing Your Inner Critic • Losing your confidence and regaining it • Dealing with imposter syndrome

Previous panellists have included • Tina Calder, Journalist and Commentator • Vicki Psarias, Blogger Honest Mum • Sinead Willox, Life Coach • Samara Prentice, Personal Stylist • Jemma Mulholland, Blogger Popcorn for Lunch • Jennifer Hanratty, Founder of Breastival

We throw the doors (and the bar) open at 7pm, giving you plenty of time to have a proper catch up with your mum chums.

Our 1st chat runs from 8pm-9pm then we break for a “Sweet Supper” which normally involves cake and more wine! Our second session runs from 9.30pm-10.30pm and doors close at 11pm

We love getting the audience involved and getting a proper discussion going around the room – but if you would rather sit back and listen, that’s ok too.

There’s a virtual goody bag for everyone who comes along  - with lots of discounts for services and products useful to mums

We also play “Treat Seat” when during the interval everyone is asked to look under their seats during the interval and see if they are sitting on a prize voucher!

It’s a night to get together, talk about what matters to us, take some time out and relax

Scummy Mummies Show Belfast & Derry

350 women in the Black Box Belfast and the Nerve Centre in Derry enjoyed a laugh with the brilliantly funny Scummy Mummies, celebrating fish fingers, drinking wine at tea time and hiding from the PTA during May and November 2017

The Ultimate Mums Night Out

image22

The Scummy Mummies returned for their second show in Belfast and this time we had an after party – 300 women in the Europa Hotel dancing to classic 80’s and 90’s tunes and eating chip butties at midnight!

How To Be A Mumboss

image23

In April 2019 we hosted a night with Vicki Psarias, aka leading parenting blogger, Honest Mum. Over 100 women met in the Black Box Belfast to hear Vicki interviewed by Journalist and Broadcaster Tina Calder, sharing her “MumBoss Manifesto” for surviving and  thriving at work and at home

Blogging, Vlogging & Influencing

image24

With a huge social following, Honest Mum also held a blogging workshop in Belfast for a group of fab ladies ( and 1 gent)  - a real opportunity for them to get one 2 one advice from one of the UK’s leading influencers.
